Doctoring the Diet

Lately I have been having this overwhelming feeling of my teeth breaking off. It has been an image popping into my head and a physical feeling that makes my teeth feel super sensitive. I instinctively felt that I needed calcium. Since I have gone vegan I think I haven't done a great job of balancing my food choices. I usually go with what is easy, which ends up being the exact same thing that I ate the day before; I don't even have to put thought into that! Following my hunch, I took some liquid calcium and within a day and a half the feeling subsided. Just goes to show that your body will tell you what it wants if you just listen and cancel out the noise. Another issue is that I feel somewhat drained. I spoke with a guy at Whole Foods and he thought perhaps it indicated a low in my B vitamins, but I added in a vitamin B supplement a couple of weeks ago. My intuition tells me that it has to do with a lack of protein. It can be hard to get the needed protein without partaking in animal dining. To remedy the issue I made my way to the bookstore and bought an informative cookbook on going vegan. I am going to refocus on my diet and whip it into shape! I will begin reading through the book and relay any information I find interesting.
