Handy Pantry Indeed!
I rec'd a fantastic little sprouting garden from my sister and her family (thanks guys!) from Handy Pantry. The guy at Whole Foods said it was the best company for buying sprouting products and they actually use to carry their wheatgrass trays as well (they had to stop because they would begin to mold after a while and you can't have moldy things in a food store). This little kit is seriously the sprouting kit that could! I put alfalfa spouts in two of the 4 trays and wheatgrass in one of the other trays. It has been only 3 days and already the trays look like chia pets on steroids! I am super excited to have sprouts again for my juices and salads! I find that I am eager to wake up in the morning just to go check out how much progress the little guys made overnight! It would be a fun way to teach kids about sprouting also. It really couldn't be any easier; put the seeds in and rinse 2+ times a day, put outside on the last day to develop chlorophyll, enjoy! I just may have a green thumb afterall!
