I am not entirely sure, but I feel somewhat confident saying that I have made some progress as of late. The reason being that I had to go and clean up our rent house for the new renters to move in yesterday. This equates to back breaking work of scrubbing baseboards, the floors, cabinets, toilets, etc. I thought for sure that I would be of little help after the first set of cabinets and so we brought help with us to pick up my slack. To my total, utter surprise I was able to clean the floors on my hands and knees, dust every window seal, and disenfect until my heart's content! I kept waiting for that all knowing stitch of pain that catches me when I have gone too far and drops me to my knees, but it never came! Sure I was exhausted and my back did hurt, but here's the important thing...it didn't prevent me from doing what I needed to do. That is something that hasn't happened in an extremely long time. I have been on this program for almost 2 months now and I have to say it really seems to have healed a little, at least it is not nearly as sensitive as it was. This makes the cyst in general a lot less intimidating to me. I often have to fight that feeling of dread that creeps up, telling me that I am going to be like this forever and that my life is over. So, when something like this happens it sort of resets my mindframe a bit and scores a point for the positive side instead of always defaulting to the negative.
I added in wheatgrass to my juice in the morning two days ago and am eager to see if it will stimulate any further improvement. I must admit that the flavor of wheatgrass is something to get use to and in fact on the first morning it upset my stomach a little. Now I can barely taste it mixed in with all my other juice. I theorize that it is best to take wheatgrass by itself since you always see stores offering a wheatgrass shot, so I have a hand cranked wheatgrass juicer on the way now and am really excited for it to get here. I think since my alfalfa sprouts are so small I may just hand juice them with the wheatgrass and make that my daily shot and leave my regular juice as it is. I have been documenting all of the things I add in to my repertoire in a little calendar I carry in my purse. It helps me to give more accurate information if I decide to go to a doctor, but it also really helps me to understand what is helping and what is a waste of money. I will keep you posted on the progress with the wheatgrass shot.
