I haven't had to take a pain pill in so long I can't even remember when. I have been doing really good pain wise and have plenty of freedom doing things around the house again, like laundry, dishes, cooking, etc. I still cannot walk for too long of periods or do anything crazy like play volleyball, but my ability to walk has extended into the 10 minute+ range. I was actually able to do some light grocery shopping at Wal-Mart the other day without using a wheelchair! That was so exciting for me because everyone staring at me gets really old really quick. I walked really slow (walking fast seems to flare up my back quicker) and took breaks from walking sporadically and it was a success! Of course I had to kick back when I got home and let everything calm down, but that is just how it is right now. I continue to improve as I can now run quick errands with my husband instead of just sitting in the car (except if he wants to go to the hardware store...boring....). My improvements seem to come with each passing month. While that may seem like a long time to wait for improvements, it really is nothing compared to the time it takes to heal from having your saccrum cut open, your nerve cut on and a piece of generic bone being fused over the hole (in my opinion).
In unrelated news, this diet has worked wonders for my appearance! My hair is super thick and long. My skin is really clear and my nails grow like wildfire. I feel really good inside and have been noticing a huge increase in my mental clarity and personal drive as of this month. I have so much energy that I am having trouble sleeping and I feel really anxious all the time. This is great because I thought I had lost my will power before and was contributing it to age. Turns out it has nothing to do with age and everything to do with what I was weighing my body and mind down with. We are planning a 2 week camping trip at the end of March and so I am going to stay as clean and healthy as possible in hopes that I may improve more before we leave. My goal is to be able to ride my bike around the campgrounds so we shall see! Fingers crossed!
